Description

To help people to see the self-limiting roles they are playing in their current life as a result of the experiences of the past, promote the ability to recognize the ways which we reenact these roles from the past, producing helplessness, the misuse of personal power, and a tendency to be revictimized as well as being able to recognize how these reenactment roles affect a person’s sense of identity and keeps people trapped in the past, unable to process loss.

  • HANDOUT: Is It the Same Thing Over and Over
  • RESOURCE: Traumatic Reenactment: Extensive explanation of traumatic reenactment with examples from a 1970’s kidnapping of children in Chowchilla, California
